Well, since this device is specific to Somfy blind-motors, and since Somfy has an RJ45 connection standard, it stands to reason that it would make sense to use it. You thought to put the RJ45 connector on the board so you must have been thinking about this.

So the new firmware will have the limit programming put back in sometime this week? I just ordered an RS-485 adaptor so I can program my motors and would like to cancel the order if I am not going to need it.

Setting motor limits

I was reading the doc for the Somfy SDN controller on the Wiki. I do need to set the limits for the motors. The Wiki references the URL http://shadecontrol/limits.htm. The web server on the XN200 just returns error 404: file not found. Is there a different URL I should use? The firmware on my XN200 ...

Basically this just provides distribution of the RS-485 and power to all the devices using standard 8-pin RJ45 (EIA/TIA 568B) Ethernet cables. Very convenient.
